Bleach Character Bios

Kuchiki Rukia

Rukia is a Shinigama (God of Death) who sends wandering good spirits (Pluses) to heaven while vanquishing bad spirits (Hollows). Unfortunately, she transfer too much of her power to Ichigo one night and now is trapped in her body. She's a matter of fact (demanding) person who takes her mission very seriously.

Kurosaki Ichigo

Ichigo is a 15 year old high school student with the ability to see spirits. Rukia transferred some of her power to him one night, and now he too is a Shinigama (God of Death). He's a stubborn boy with an innate sense for doing the right thing, even if he doesn't like it.

After 3 Episodes Based on the popular Japanese manga that began in January 2002, Bleach is the newest shonen anime to come out.

Kurosaki Ichigo is a fifteen year old high school freshman who can see ghosts. Most ghosts he encounters are benign spirits, but one day, an evil spirit, called a Hollow, finds its way to town. Following the baddie is Shinigami (God of Death) Kuchiki Rukia, a girl plagued with the task of vanquishing evil spirits.

Not surprisingly, Ichigo finds himself in the middle of the Shinigami/Hollow battle. Rukia soon is injured and the only way for them to survive the battle is for her to transfer some of her powers to him. You guessed it - he destroys the monster, and in the process, finds himself with some cool powers.

I've seen three episodes so far, and while it isn't Naruto, it isn't bad for a Shonen anime. I haven't read the manga, so I can only comment on the story up to episode 3, which is your typical battle with the baddie, Shonen fight style.
